BMI Calculator: Am I Eligible for Weight Loss Injections?

BMI (Body Mass Index) uses your height and weight to give a general indication of whether you’re in a healthy weight range. It’s the main eligibility criterion for prescription weight loss treatments.

Under 18.5 = Underweight | 18.5-24.9 = Healthy | 25-29.9 = Overweight | 30-34.9 = Obese (Class I) | 35-39.9 = Obese (Class II) | 40+ = Obese (Class III)

You may be eligible if: BMI 30+ or BMI 27+ with a weight-related health condition (type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnoea).

BMI isn’t perfect – it doesn’t account for muscle mass, bone density, or where your body stores fat. That’s why the consultation matters. Your pharmacist looks at the full picture.
